Life Makers was founded in Mogadishu by a coalition of Somali intellectuals, both domestic and diaspora, who were united by a shared vision of societal upliftment.

Through a series of conferences and strategic meetings, the organization was established to drive progress across various sectors and to address the challenges facing Somali society.
